Location to shoot: Leake Street (Banksy) Tunnel
London isn't short of awesome locations to shoot but one of the very best has to be Leake Street. Sometimes referred to as the Banksy tunnel, it runs under Waterloo station. It's a hotbed of creative activity with Graffiti right at the fore. The cool industrial architecture is adorned with first class street art that evolves and changes at quite a pace. The tunnel itself presents opportunity for ace light and allows for manipulations of the Natural light in a beautifully creative way. Or if you like there is always space and time to set up portable strobes and get into the corners deep in the tunnels. I fell in love with the location a few year's ago on an Urban portraiture course (with photoion) and have been heading back periodically for shoots, ever since. If you're a portrait photographer I'd encourage you to add it to the list of places to check out.
Look out for the different POVs.
Vibrant colours and backgrounds abound.
At street level there are cool opportunities too.
A great choice for an edgy engagement shoot.
The tunnel helps to 'mange' the natural light opportunities
Even Graffiti can look good in Black and White.
